ජාතික පුස්තකාල හා ප්‍රලේඛන සේවා මණ්ඩලය විසින් සිදු කරන ලද ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මහජන පුස්තකාල ආශ්‍රිත පාඨකයින්ගේ කියවීමේ රුචිය පිළිබඳ සමීක්ෂණය 2021 ට අදාළ වාර්තාව පසුගිය දා නිකුත් කර තිබිණි.
එහි පාඨකයින්ගේ වැඩිම කැමැත්ත ඇති දේශීය හා විදේශීය කර්තෘවරුන් හා කියවීමට වඩාත් කැමැති පොත් සම්බන්ධයෙන් තොරතුරු වාර්තා කර ඇත.
ඒ අනුව පාඨක ඡන්දයෙන් ඉදිරියෙන්ම සිටින්නේ ප්‍රවීණ ගත් කතුවර මාර්ටින් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතායි.
අනතුරුව පාඨක ප්‍රසාද 944ක් ලබා ගනිමින් ප්‍රවීණ ලේඛිකා චන්දි කොඩිකාර මහත්මිය යි.
තෙවන හා හතරවන ස්ථාන දෙමළ භාෂා ගත් කතුවරුන් වන රාජේශ් කුමාර් හා සාන්ඩිල්යන් හිමි කර ගෙන තිබේ.
ඉංග්‍රීසි ගත් කතුවරුන් වන මැක්සිම් ගෝර්කි, ආතර් කොනන් ඩොයිල් හා ඉනිඩ් බ්ලයිටන් ඇතුළු විදේශීය ලේඛක ලේඛිකාවන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුම මේ අතර වෙති. ජනප්‍රිය හා ප්‍රවීණ ලේඛක ලේඛිකාවන් රැසක් පාඨක ප්‍රසාදය හිමි කර ගෙන සිටිති.
කියවීමට වඩාත් කැමැති පොත් අතර මඩොල්දූව ප්‍රථම ස්ථානය හිමි කරගෙන තිබෙන්නේ ප්‍රසාදයන් 900ක් සමඟිනි. ෂර්ලොක්හෝම්ස් දෙවන ස්ථානයත් ගම්පෙරළිය තෙවන ස්ථානයටත් පත්ව තිබේ.
